Thornbury Historical Society is excited to welcome Jim Getty, world renowned Lincoln Impersonator from historic Gettysburg, PA, to Thornbury Township on Thursday, November 14th.
Mr. Getty made an unforgettable appearance two years ago at Sweetwater Farm/Grace Winery as part of the area’s Lessons and Legacies commemoration of the U.S. Civil War Sesquicentennial.
Thornbury Historical Society has invited Mr. Getty back this year to help us better appreciate the historic implications of the Battle of Gettysburg (July 1 – 4, 1863) The Gettysburg Address (November 19, 1863) and the Emancipation Proclamation (January, 1864).
Jim Getty is a nationally renowned Lincoln actor, historian and scholar. For over thirty years, Getty has studied and portrayed the 16th president, and he brings his vast knowledge and expertise to each of his unique leadership sessions.

As a way of saying thank you to The Glen Mills Schools for hosting the popular annual Pancake Breakfast for so many years, the Thornbury Historical Society has invited the staff and the impressive student body of Glen Mills School to the presentation.
This is an outstanding opportunity for the community to visit Glen Mills Schools and its beautiful campus and buildings. It will also provide families with a rare and very special event to experience together.
The event will be held at the Glen Mills Schools Auditorium/Gymnasium located at 185 Glen Mills Rd Glen Mills, PA 19342. On site parking next to the auditorium is plentiful. Program starts at 7pm. Admission is FREE.
